Fortnite Season 4: Marvel Theme & What We Know So Far

Fortnite Season 4 Chapter 2 is just around the corner. In past years, a major in-game celebration was conducted to move from one season to the next, but this time around the main highlight is the court action against the Apple and Google owners at Epic Games. The famous royal fighting game starts its next season in less than a week, but there are no improvements to the actual mobile game. Although epic has managed to eliminate a 30 percent penalty, that the two internet companies, Google and Apple charge players for purchases on their platforms. Fortnite isn’t actually accessible in Apple App Store or Google Play Store right now. This is unclear whether by the start of season 4 anything will change.

When Fortnite Season 4 Will Start?

27 August is the launch of the next season, which Epic has stated several times. It is seen in a Friday tweet revealing a new logo with a Marvel reference. Currently, according to the official tweet, Season 4 of Fortnite will be coming only to the Windows, PS4, Xbox One, Android, and Nintendo Switch devices. On the other side, iOS devices Fortnite gamers may not be able to begin the new season at the launch, as mentioned in the tweet.

The tweet contained a Hammer, Lightening, and a Rainbow. According to the game fans and critics, these icons might be an indication towards Thor’s Hammer, God of Thunder Lightning, and Bifrost Bridge Rainbow respectively.

Fortnite surely did not feature Marvel heroes for the first time in Season 4. Before some seasons, to promote theĀ  Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame movies, Epic Games has launched themes featuring Thanos and the Infinity Gauntlet. Also, in Season 2, Deadpool came in as Battle Pass mask.

Can Android and iOS Users Download Season 4 Fortnite Update?

Epic is in the middle of a legal battle with both Apple and Google. On Aug. 13, Epic tried to get around the 30% fee developers have to pay for transactions done on the App Store and Google Play Store by implementing a system called the Fortnite Mega Drop that allowed players to purchase V-Bucks, the in-game currency, directly from Epic and bypassing Apple and Google’s cut.

iOS users can’t download Fortnite or other changes to the game because they have it already enabled on their device because of the legal measures taking effect. This has prompted users to seek to offer iPhones for thousands of dollars with Fortnite built on eBay. Epic was hoping for a temporary declaration of suspension to conduct business as normal as the court battle went on, but Apple demanded a lawful response claiming that Epic would only proceed after the laws are in effect. Next week there will be a legal trial on the case.

Android users will be able to download and play the Fortnite Season4 game without any worries. Though, they need to uninstall the previous version and install the latest version from Epic or from the Samsung Galaxy Store to get the Season 4 update.
