Last week at Gadget Show Live, we got a chance to look at some interesting technology which would be shaping the future for our everyday tasks, one of which that we found very intriguing was Fulton Innovation‘s Kitchen of the future, which uses wireless power technology, as seen in other Qi-enabled wireless products.
They showed us a wireless power unit that was integrated into a kitchen worktop, and because of this you could use specialised Qi cooking pots (through their eCoupled technology), which allow you to place a pot full of water onto the worktop, with no physical connection needed, and after a minute or so it begins to boil. One amazing thing that you can do with the tech is to be able to quickly lift the pot away from the surface and neither the bottom of the pot, or the kitchen surface will be hot. We hope to see more innovative products like these enter the kitchen in the future and look forward to watching the eCoupled technology progress.
