We recently reported that Google Chrome will become the second most used internet browser very soon. Microsoft acted in its own way to this, the innocent way, kind of.
Recently, around 3000 Chrome users were unable to launch Chrome on their PCs. Most of them even found Chrome “deleted” from their systems.The problem occured due to a bug in Microsoft’s free and popular antivirus program Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE).
On Friday Microsoft wrote on its Facebook page that the MSE tagged Chrome as a malware. MSE identified Chrome as the PWS:Win32/Zbot virus, a Zues family trojan. As a result of this bug, MSE either blocked Chrome or deleted it on systems of around 3000 people.
