As soon as the downtime news appeared on twitter, the Sweden based startup company acknowledged the issue and tweeted from its official account:
We’re aware that some users are experiencing difficulties logging in. We are working hard to restore full service and will update shortly.
Later the company tweeted from its another dedicated twitter account to keep its users updated with the situation and help them track the status of the company services. @SpotifyStatus provided the users with real-time updates, as the company was fixing the login and album art issue.
According to a report, the visitors who faced problem were greeted with the following error message: “Service temporary unavailable. The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”
After two hours long downtime, Spotify was finally able to fix up the login issue. For the album art issue, Spotify recommended its users to clear their browser caches.
